The color, alignment, spacing and regularity of one's teeth add to the overall appearance of good health. Any of these characteristics can be altered to produce a more aesthetically pleasing smile.

Dr. Nordstrom makes a strong distingtion between needs and wants.  If treatment is elective versus necessary you will be so informed.

We offer a wide variety of cosmetic options. Some of these options are whitening, smile design, recontouring of the shape of the teeth, porcelain veneers, bonding, tooth colored filling, and all ceramic/porcelain crowns.  Aesthetic treatments are also available for the excessively "gummy" appearance.

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is placed over the outside or visible area of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. This can be done with a direct or indirect technique.

The direct technique (aka "bonding" or "chair-side" veneers) usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using a bonding material.

The indirect technique usually involves two appointments because the veneers are fabricated at a dental laboratory. During the first appointment impressions taken, teeth are prepared, and then given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks, when the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. Laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic and are very natural looking.
